The Compost Keeper is a one gallon attractive satin finish stainless steel with a thick and sturdy stainless steel handle. It looks good on a kitchen counter top. Store peelings, egg shells, coffee grounds, table scraps, clippings and other vegetables. Later transfer to your garden composter. The compost keeper works best as a temporary holder for these items.
Wash compost keeper with warm soapy water, rinse and dry.
Includes dual odor preventing filter set in lid.

To Replace Filters: just pull old filters out and toss. Inside replacement packet are two filters: one square filter and one round filter. Insert the square filter first. Just push it into the lid next to the holes in the lid, using your hands. Insert the round filter second. It goes in the other part of the lid and does not touch the other filter. Just work it in with your hands.
Change the filters approximately every 6 months, depending on use.
The filters should not be washed and reused. The charcoal in the filters absorb the odors and once it has fully absorbed to its maximum, discard filters.
Filter sizes are: The round one is 6.5” in dia. and the square one is 4.75" x 4.75".

Change the filter approximately every 6 months, depending on use. Effectiveness of filter can be affected by heat and humidity in your area.
Let food cool down before putting it into the composter. Do not put hot or warm product into composter. Moisture from warm product can decrease the time for changing the filter.
Each filter is made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), 5% Charcola, 95% PET Acrylate.
